Alma

A storm is gathering over the valley. On a quiet road between villages, a young man sees something feeding at the edge of the forest. He escapes home, but the creature follows him through the dark.

Then the church bell begins to ring.

The villagers dress in crimson and gather beneath the apple trees. Inside the church, Alma is waiting, chained to an altar, surrounded by people who already know what is coming.
